Jax stares at the glitched door. “It’s some kind of complex pattern-recognition,” he mutters. “Maybe rotational symmetry with symbol—”
Zoey snorts. “Or, you know, we could just look at it.”
She points at the bottom two rows:
• Row 2: Circle →Square →Diamond
• Row 3: Square→Diamond→?
“See?” she says, “Row 3 is the same as 2, slid to the left. Circle moved off the front… so it shows up at the end.”
She taps the empty square. “Boom. Circle. Door opens. You’re welcome.”
Jax sighs. “I was… almost there.”

1. If Casey is telling the truth, then Alex is lying.
2. If Alex is lying, then Blair is not lying → Blair tells the truth.
3. But if Blair were telling the truth, that would make Casey lying—which contradicts our assumption.
So:
1. Casey says Alex is lying → true
2. Alex says Blair is lying → false
3. Blair says Casey is lying → false
4. Drew says Blair is telling the truth → false
Casey is telling the truth!

No. It’s impossible.
Why?:
• Rule 1 forces Eddie and Tula (blue) to come before Harry and Zrek (green).
• Rule 2 forces Eddie and Harry (no tails) to come before Tula and Zrek (tails).
• But Rule 3 requires Eddie to sit next to Harry—which contradicts Rule 1.
Harry: "No arrangement satisfies all three rules."
Eddie: "So the system is broken."
Harry: "The aliens would say, 'No, human. The system is working.'"
Eddie: "There is that impossible alien logic, again!"
